Estée Lauder Double Wear is a well known classic - but I wanted to write about it anyway. It's a foundation I had avoided trying for a number of years due to the worry it would be too cakey on my skin, as I'd heard this from a number of people. I decided to take into account that everyones skin is different as well as the positive reviews I had heard and gave it a go, as I was looking for a foundation with more staying power .
The shade I went for was '1W1 - Bone' which when blended into my skin matches perfectly. This is my absolute favourite foundation since buying it - I no longer have to wear powder on top of my foundation and have no need for concealers either. Having revamped my skin care routine a while ago, my skin is in the right condition to be wearing this long lasting foundation - I think if I had tried to wear this prior I might have ended up with horridly cakey looking skin. If you look after your skin and give yourself the right base for it I couldn't recommend it enough.
Here's how my skin looks just wearing Double Wear on it - no concealer or powder (and no filter just so you can see it a little better). It's exactly what I had been looking for in a foundation - perfect coverage and long lasting staying power, as I was finding that my foundations previously just weren't lasting on my skin and were becoming dull and flakey. Double Wear has restored my faith.
